A Registered Dietitian, Dr. Pooneh Jahadi (PJ) Yazdi received her Doctorate in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University in 2004 and completed a dietetic internship at University of Texas at Austin. She is licensed to practice dietetics in the state of Texas.

While in graduate school she worked at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston as a graduate research assistant on a multi-center national nutrition and breast cancer study. She also taught nutrition at Houston Community College for several years. Moreover, she was the head nutrition consultant for FIT4LIFE in Houston.

Dr. Yazdi is a Certified Trainer in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management awarded by the American Dietetic Association. She is currently a nutrition consultant for Child Incorporated, the Federal Head Start program in the Travis County.

When her family moved to Leander in 2005, Dr. Yazdi chose to help her husband build his pediatric dental practice in Central Austin. In January 2008 she decided to start her nutrition counseling practice in Cedar Park.

As a mother of two school age children, she understands the challenges in balancing family, work, busy schedules, and healthy eating. She enjoys spending time with her patients to grasp their difficulties and concerns in making healthy lifestyle changes and helps them in overcoming the barriers.
